A Call To Action from small - scale fishers

On International Oceans Day and in the framework of the International Year of Small-Scale Artisanal Fisheries, artisanal fishermen and fisherwomen of the world agree on a clear and concise declaration in view of the Oceans Conference to be held at the end of June in Lisbon.

This declaration is a call to governments on the concrete and necessary actions that the sector needs to continue advancing on issues such as: governance, gender equality and equity, protecting artisanal fisheries from the blue economy and offering a dignified life perspective for young people.
