In partnership with Acumen Academy and in alignment with the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries & Aquaculture, EDF is pleased to announce its new Resilient Small-Scale Fisheries Leadership Accelerator. The 12-week program is designed to equip motivated individuals from or working in service of the small-scale fisheries sector with the leadership skills needed to navigate increasing uncertainty and change. During the program, participants will also gain a powerful network of sustainability-minded peers, a deeper understanding of fisheries systems, and the peer support needed to advance climate-resilient fisheries.
What’s included:
- 12 Group Learning Labs facilitated through Zoom — meaning that anyone, anywhere can join the close-knit cohort
- Facilitated learnings, including frameworks for decision-making that show you how to hold values in tension and lead through change
- Weekly conversations and consultations with peers
- In-depth guided discussions of curated readings
- Weekly assignments to apply learnings as you refine your own leadership
We are looking for people who are from, working in, or working in service of small-scale fisheries communities to be a part of the inaugural cohort.
Applications close March 22. Learn more and apply here!
